![]() ![]() It does not ask my permission and I have no way to tell it "no". IOW, Musehub is always able to communicate with someone unknown out there on the Internet. I see little or no discussion of this issue - maybe I'm missing it? Is this something that will be changed in the future? This seems to me to be highly user-unfriendly and potentially dangerous." I don't see anything to assure me that it ISN'T. "I don't know if Muse Hub Service is communicating with anywhere on the internet while its running with all those options turned off, but it seems to me to be quite likely that it CAN if it wants, and I as the computer owner have no control over it. I can find no way to change this behavior. ![]() That means that even if you stop the service, it will automatically start again after a re-boot. That option is greyed out, even if you are logged on as Administrator. What you cannot do is change the Service Type to anything from its default, Automatic. You can turn off its Auto Update options. ![]() "Something else I though I'd mention about Muse Hub: you can turn off its "Community Acceleration" option. This was one of the first projects I was genuinely proud of and now all of that progress is lost.I'll quote an earlier post of mine about Musehub: Though I am certainly not an expert on notation technology, I have noticed the measures where I utilize the copy and paste function (quite frequently used for the sake of increasing my productivity and workflow) are the measures that have the issues which is what I am assuming caused the files to be corrupted. When I open the now corrupted files, tens of hundreds of the measures I had wrote now have incorrect number of beats in them (i.e, 3 quarter notes and 5 eighth note rests in a 4/4 measure) and several engraving and consequently playback issues. ![]() I then updated to Musescore 4.1 and am still experiencing these issues despite the update claiming to have fixed these issues. I had been using Musescore 4.0 and had experienced IMMENSE and frequent corrupted file reports and just lost 4 weeks (6 minutes) worth of music that entirely relied on Musescore due to these seemingly random file corruptions. ![]()
